Once your order has been submitted, please allow up to 4 business days for us to process your order. Once processed, your cancellation letter will be delivered to your Planet Fitness gym via certified mail by the U.S. Postal Service. Depending on the distance from our shipping location to your Planet Fitness gym, this could take an additional 5-7 business days. Once the letter has been delivered to your gym, it is important to then call your gym to confirm that they are processing your cancellation.
Historically, Gyms have made it very difficult to cancel your membership. That's why you're using this service. Based on Planet Fitness terms and conditions, sending a certified letter stating your intention to cancel your gym member should be enough. But, just in case they "forget" to cancel your membership automatically, we highly recommend that you call and confirm that they are canceling your membership once they’ve received your certified letter. Based on past orders, it seems many Planet Fitness locations process cancellation request sometime after monthly dues, which tends to be around the 10th of the month.
Once you've submitted your order, you can check your order status by visiting this Check Status page and providing the same phone number you used when submitting your original order.
Using this service does not guarantee that Planet Fitness will automatically cancel your gym membership. Based on Planet Fitness terms and services, you have the ability to cancel your membership by either canceling in person or sending a certified letter to your gym. This service utilizes the second option. If Planet Fitness doesn't automatically cancel your gym membership after you have used our service, it's important to call your gym and confirm that they will proceed to process your cancellation after the letter has been delivered. At that point, Planet Fitness should cancel your membership.
The price is a one-time fee of $24.99. That’s much cheaper than paying month after month for a membership you're not using!
